Rugby Union Zurich is an ambitious rugby club based in the city of Zurich. In 2019, we celebrated our 10th anniversary – since our foundation we have already been promoted twice and today we play in the National League B of the Swiss Rugby Union.
We train from spring until autumn in Zurich-Wollishofen and in winter in different locations across the city. Our home games take place at Stadium Utogrund as well as Allmend Brunau. Everybody is welcome to come to our trainings – just join us!

Die Nachwuchsspieler zeigen viel Engagement und Leidenschaft für den Sport und arbeiten hart daran, ihre Fähigkeiten zu verbessern. Wir glauben, dass Rugby grossartige Werte lehrt, wie Teamwork, Entschlossenheit und Fairplay, und wir freuen uns, diese Werte an unsere Zukunftsgeneration weitergeben zu können.
Wir bedauern, uns heute anlässlich seiner Beerdigung von einer prägenden Figur im Stadtzürcher Rugby verabschieden zu müssen und gedenken John Max Gysin MBE (1935 - 2023).
John war Mitgründer, einstiger Präsident des Rugby Club Zürich und früher Förderer des Frauenrugbys in der Schweiz.
Durch das Engagement und die Liebe zu unserem schönen Sport etablierte und prägte John den Rugbysport in der Limmatstadt. Dafür danken wir ihm zutiefst!
Wir sprechen unser Beileid seiner Familie und allen, welche mit ihm Rugby in Zürich erleben durften, aus.
Die Jungs von Nebenan kommen morgen im Doppelpack zu Besuch. Statt Schwätzchen, Kaffee und Kuchen gibt`s Gerangel, Bier und Wurst.
Symbolisiert wird unsere Rivalität und Freundschaft durch ein Holztäfeli, weil uns mehr verbindet als nur die S12.
