About the Rugby Union Zurich
Since 2009, Rugby Union Zurich has been offering all those interested in rugby from the city of Zurich and the region the opportunity to play rugby. We see ourselves as an open club, where newcomers meet experienced players and locals meet newcomers and expats.
After three seasons in the 1st League East, we succeeded in advancing to the National League C in the 2012/2013 season and two seasons later in 2015, another promotion to the National League B, where we play ever since. In the long term, a second team as well as our own juniors are planned in order to introduce even more people to our beloved sport of rugby.
Team
The first team currently consists of more than 40 players aged 18 to 45 years, from 65 to 130kg, mainly from the city of Zurich. We are always happy to welcome new players – so just come by!

Beside the Pitch
In addition to its sporting activities, Rugby Union Zurich also organises events away from the pitch throughout the year such as the RUZ Summer Fest, trips to international rugby matches, our Christmas dinner, the RUZ Pub Golf Tournament and many more smaller events. So RUZ is the ideal place not only to play sports but also to make friends for life!
Pub Golf
Pub Golf is an old tradition in Rugby Union Zurich from 2013 and as Pub Golf as well as Rugby are “gentlemen sports”, our pub golf tournaments are subject to a set of rules which can be viewed here:
